Publisher tinyBuild and developer OMYOG have announced during Gamescom that their bloodthirsty first-person shooter, FEROCIOUS, will launch on Steam this winter. The news was accompanied by a new, action-packed trailer as part of GameStar’s “Find Your Next Game” showcase.
FEROCIOUS throws players onto a mysterious, hostile island where they must battle not only ravenous dinosaurs but also an army of mercenaries working for a shadowy organization known as Manifesto. The developer promises unrelenting, wall-to-wall action where the only goal is to be the last one standing.
The gameplay centers on visceral combat with a massive arsenal. Players will have access to pistols, shotguns, rifles, knives, and spears, among other weapons, to dispatch the island’s many terrors. A unique gameplay mechanic allows players to turn the island’s prehistoric predators to their advantage, commanding—or perhaps just asking—dinosaurs to attack their foes or help access unreachable areas.
OMYOG, a small indie team, has confirmed that FEROCIOUS will launch at a price point of $24.99.
