Codemasters revealed that the fifth iteration of the popular racing game series will launch on Friday, Nov. 6. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. According to the studio, they revised the launch date in order release all versions of the game in a shorter timeframe. This will also make it closer to the launch of the next-generation consoles, which is expected this coming holiday season.

This is also the second time the game has been delayed.

Chief Executive Officer at Codemasters Frank Sagnier stated:

DIRT 5 has received widespread critical acclaim, culminating with it receiving the gamescom 2020 Best Racing Game Award. The revised launch date will allow us to take advantage of the next generation console launches which are expected in time for the holiday season.

The Google Stadia version of Dirt 5 will be released in early 2021. Buying the Amplified Edition will allow players to receive exclusive content and three days early access. It will also support both Xbox Smart Delivery and PlayStation’s free upgrade when players want to get it on Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5.
