Gameloft has recently announced that Disney Speestorm will finally launch full free-to-play later this year.
Disney Speedstorm Full Free-to-Play Release Date
The popular hero-based combat racing game that is inspired by Disney and Pixar worlds called Disney Speedstorm will be exiting early access testing period and launch later this year, September 28, 2023. It will be a free-to-play title coming to PC and consoles.
“Since the launch Early Access, we’ve received invaluable feedback and support from our incredible community of players, who have been instrumental to the improvements made during Early Access,” Gameloft said in a post on the game’s Twitter account.
“Moving to a free-to-play experience will also allow for more players to share in a fully robust competitive and co-op racing experience. We can’t wait to continue this journey together as we enter this exciting new phase.”
Founder’s Packs Available for a Limited Time
The post also reminds players that the Founder’s Packs will remain available until Early access closes. These packs will provide players with exclusive items now at a “fantastic value” of game content.
Since it will fully launch now, expect a surge of players joining the game on day one. Hopefully, the servers will be able to hold out during those times since other games had bad histories with day one launch especially free-to-play online multiplayer titles.
Disney Speedstorm launches on September 28, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
