According to a new statement made by Insomniac Games that the special Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 suits can only be accessed via certain special editions only.
Pre-orders are now live for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for its Standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Editions for physical and standard and deluxe for digital versions. Each version has its own extra content like pre-order bonuses, extra costumes, season passes, and more. With pre-orders now live, fans are now excited to play the game when it launches later in October 2023. There’s one tiny hitch though…
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Special Editions Have These Exclusives
Players getting the Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have 10 unique suits with five each for Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The suits included are the Tactical Suit, Red Spectre Suit, Agimat Suit, Aurantia Suit, and more. This edition will also give players additional photo mode items and two skill points. Sure, these suits are cool, but unfortunately, these are all exclusive only to this particular edition. The standard edition will not have these suits and they are not unlockable via gameplay progression so players who do not buy this edition cannot get these awesome suits.
Insomniac Confirms Exclusives
This was confirmed by Insomniac Games when a fan asked about the suits in the Digital Deluxe Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. These cosmetics items are only exclusive to the DDE version of the game, which is $79.99 to purchase, $10 more than the standard edition of the game. Fans of the series might want to plan ahead first if they want to get the exclusive suits at launch or upgrade their standard version later.
The good news is that the Collector’s Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has access to these suits since it includes all of the content offered by the Digital Deluxe Edition. In addition to that, it also includes a lot of other goodies like a Steelbook, a 19-inch statue featuring both Spider-Men fighting Venom, and more.
So either buy the digital deluxe for the exclusive suits or the Collector’s Edition or get the standard and then upgrade it to the deluxe edition at a later time.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20, 2023 exclusively on PS5.
