Bethesda and id Software are proud to announce during the Xbox Developer Direct 2025 livestream earlier today that the prequel of DOOM (2016), DOOM: The Dark Ages, will officially launch on May 15, 2025, for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC,
Revealed during Xbox Developer Direct 2025, DOOM: The Dark Ages features tons of amazing features that players can experience when the game launches in May. The introduction of the Shield-saw will make players fight demons head-on without the need to dodge incoming projectiles and attacks. Rather, players can now block, parry, deflect, and even barrel through enemies from a distance.
Furthermore, DOOM: The Dark Ages will also let players use a spiked mace, a deadly flail, or an electrified gauntlet to take down enemies in close quarters. The incredible showcase of these melee weapons and the new ways to brutally kill demons are making me impatient for the game’s launch. I can’t wait to grab my hands on DOOM: The Dark Ages!
