Developer Shiro Games and publisher Funcom recently revealed the new Dune Spice Wars gameplay trailer.
Dune Spice Wars is the first game in two decades that will bring players back to the most desired world in the universe, Arrakis. They will be leading one of the many great factions on this planet vying on the power to control the most valuable and strategically important resource in the universe: spice. “If you control the spice, you control the universe.”
The first-ever gameplay trailer offers a glimpse at how the game looks and plays.
“This is a universe we care deeply about, and there are millions of fans out there who feel the same strong connection with the source material as we do,” said Sebastien Vidal, CEO of Shiro Games, the studio that also developed the highly successful Northgard. “We’re die-hard Dune and strategy nerds, so this is very much a game by fans, for the fans.”
Shiro Games and Funcom have also announced today that players can expect to play Dune Spice Wars this coming spring. It will first launch into Early Access on Steam with several important updates being planned. These plans include more factions, a full campaign, and multiplayer.
