Dying Light 2 to Offer Several Visual Options for Next-Gen Consoles

Techland Lead Level Designer Piotr Pawlaczyk recently shared some new details in an interview with media outlet MP1st concerning some visual options to choose for next-gen consoles from in upcoming video game Dying Light 2.

According to Pawlaczyk, players can expect some options to choose from in terms of visuals. He revealed that for players who prefer the visual experience, the team has prepared the Quality Mode. Thanks to the ray-tracing feature, the game will offer an improved quality of the scene with emphasis on environment lighting. It offers greater accuracy in terms of frame post-processing elements and others. With ray-tracing, shadows are physically corrected.

Performance Mode will focus more on high frame rates, which means 60FPS and can also add variable refresh rate aka VRR if they want. Gameplay will be faster than Quality Mode like in courses or combat. Movement will be close to realistic due to higher frame rates.

So, players who want to play Dying Light 2, there are two visual options they can choose from. They can either go for Quality Mode for more beautiful scenes or Performance Mode for faster gameplay and almost realistic speeds.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human launches on December 7, 2021 for the PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
