E3 2017: Here are the things we’re excited for at Sony’s Press Conference

It’s just a couple of hours away before Sony’s E3 press conference will begin. A lot of hype is already going on for games like The Last of Us Part II, Death Stranding, God of War, and Days Gone. Now, it’s the month of the year when games are on the spotlight of everyone in the world. Microsoft already announced its powerful console, Xbox One X, and now, it’s time for one of the biggest publishers in the industry to showcase their IPs.

Here at Sirus, we’ve brought all the things we’re excited for at Sony’s E3 press conference.

    Let’s start off with mine:

“Even if Death Stranding will not make any walks on the red-carpet at this year’s E3, there are games that I’m definitely excited to see at Sony’s press conference. The Last of Us Part II is probably the best choice, but I’m putting my number one spot for Spider-Man.

It’s pretty dope to see how Insomniac Games take on Marvel’s friendly-neighborhood web-slinger. Aside from that, my hopes for having some surprises about Resistance 4 will be great and a new IP would even be grand. And more gameplay for Days Gone please!”

Leif Bornales, Managing Editor: “Ever since TLOU2 was revealed during PSX2016, I was eager to hear more new about it. I am expecting to see it this E3 and hopefully some gameplay footage of the game will close the event just like TLOU before it.”

Carlo Cutanda, Contributor: “As someone who grew up with the PlayStation brand, I am very excited to see what Sony has to offer. Do they have a counter for Microsoft’s hardware focused showcase? Hopefully they can drive it home with awesome games.

They could probably kill it Bloodborne 2 and more gameplay footage of Spider-Man. And as someone from the Vita nation, I will always eagerly wait for some vita love. Hopefully the Vita2 rumors are true and will be revealed later today.”

David Rix, Contributor: “I’m excited for anything, or at least give a shot, with anything Sony announces at their press conferences. If I’m going to be real, the real thing we’re all excited for is the actual press conference presentation, just like last year’s bone chilling orchestral opening. Anyways, the two major games that I hope Sony will show more of are The Last of Us Part II and Spider-Man.

With Spider-Man, I want to hopefully see more gameplay, especially how the New York is as place to explore. How alive is the city? How big is it? How fluid and complex is the web swinging? So many questions that can be answered in at least 5 minutes. They don’t have to show anything extensive, but at least a morsel of information to keep us going until a release date announcement, if there isn’t one.

As for The Last of Us Part II, I’m not expecting much to be shown, if anything. However, if they do, I would like just a little gameplay demonstration, but something that doesn’t give any story tidbits at all. I don’t want to know anything regarding the story with this game. Keep the audience in the dark, so that when the game comes out, we’ll get those gut punching, surprise moments. If it we’re up to me, I’d have them not show anything at all, just announce a release date and then complete radio silence until its actual release.”

Hans Jurado, Contributor: “I have always been a big fan of Spider Man, not only from the movies but it was actually the reason why bought a ps2, just to play The Amazing Spider Man games. Knowing that sony is dropping us a whole new and improved Spider Man game just brings back all the excitement and experience I had on that very day.”

Jonathan Quirino, Contributor: “What i want to expect on Sony’s press conference is their exclusives, The Last of Us Part II gameplay trailer, Spider Man‘s open world gameplay, God of War and Death Stranding, but what I really want to see is the come back of their original PS1 classics, Crash Bandicoot and Final Fantasy 7 is back, I’m hoping they would add more PS1 classic games like Spyro, Resident Evil 2, and Twisted Metal. Old but gold.”

May Alturas, Contributor: “Detroit: Become Human, developed by Quantic Dream, who gave us Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, is an upcoming game with beautiful neo-noir cinematics. The developer is a master in interactive gaming which they have layed upon in this game.  This game features human like androids in a futuristic city and every action your character does has a reaction and will affect the outcome of your gameplay. I love the concept that surrounds it. The multiple endings you can potentially choose from maybe endless. With characters that may likely die, you can’t help it but be eager to know their individual stories. It is really quite intriguing what surprises this game is in store for us!”
