Despite of what is going on with the COVID 19 Pandemic crisis right now, ESA announced ahead the dates for the E3 event next year. They are planning to go ahead with the show, which will be on June 15-17, 2021.

The E3 event next year will be preceded with pre-E3 conferences like the previous years and will be hosted by major publishers. ESA also promised that the next show will be a reimagined version, but did not give details on difference.
