Phil Spencer Confirms Elden Ring Exists

Xbox Boss Phil Spencer proudly shared with Gamespot in an exclusive interview that he has played upcoming and most anticipated video game Elden Ring.

Spencer revealed that he has already played an early version of the game and proudly says, “I’ve seen actually quite a bit. I’ve played quite a bit.”

This confirmation assures the fans that game studio FromSoftware is definitely hard at work in developing the next big game. Any kind of confirmation that development is still ongoing makes them relax a bit.

Spencer also shared more information about what Creator Hidetaka Miyazaki is planning for the upcoming title.

I can’t tell you much other than, as somebody who’s played all of Miyazaki’s games over at least the last decade, this is clearly the most ambitious game that he’s done. I mean, I love his games, but seeing some of the gameplay mechanics stuff that he and the team are tackling this time, of the setting, working with another creator in terms of story. I love it. I love seeing him challenging himself, he’s a good friend of mine, expanding his horizons. I think it’s a good thing.

Spencer even revealed on how their feedback process would go. He shared that he would play the game while Miyazaki would leave the room and let him play alone. After a while, he comes back then asks Spencer of what he thinks about the game he played. He praised Miyazaki as a person who is passionate of what he does.

Elden Ring still has no release window, but it will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will also definitely launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but no official confirmation from FromSoftware yet.
