Elden Ring Patch 1.02.2 Fixes Save Bug on PS5 Consoles

New patch after a few days!

Elden Ring Keepsakes

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment have released the new Elden Ring patch 1.02.2 after it just released one a few days ago.

The newest update is version 1.02.2 and it fixes issues on the PC and PS5 platforms. The latter had a problem that would cause game progress not saved sometimes if the console crashed or it had its plug pulled out while in Rest Mode.

Bandai Namco did say previously that in order for their game progress to be saved, players needed to manually save by exiting the game regularly. This new update seems to make saves right away even if the console crashes.

The PC side also got a few fixes on issues like the game not using the graphics card, which made the game have slow performance. The crash that was caused by a Fire Giant appearing also got fixed.

Here are the full patch notes:

Patch 1.02.2 for PC and PS5 available now.

PC:

  • Fixed an issue where the graphics card was not being used, resulting in slow performance.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to quit under certain conditions during a battle with the Fire Giant.
  • Fixed other bugs.

PS5:

  • Changes to save game progression even when the game is not terminated.

Elden Ring now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
