Far Cry 5 Free Weekends Starting August 5 Includes New Gen Versions

A sale of the various editions are also available right now.

Game company Ubisoft has recently announced that video game Far Cry 5 will be available to play for free starting tomorrow on various platforms.

The fifth title of the popular Far Cry series will be available for free starting August 5, 2021 and will return to full price on August 9. This will be available on all platforms: PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, X/S, and PC. Yes, even the next-gen versions.

Players will be able to gain access to the full game in single-player and co-op gameplay. Within that time, they can actually complete the game if they are fast enough.

Here are the schedules for each platform when it will be available:

PC (Ubisoft Store): starting August 5 at 6am PT / 9am ET / 3pm BT

PC (Epic Games Store): starting August 5 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BT

PS5 and PS4: starting August 5 at 12:01 am PT / 3:01 am ET / 8:01 am BT

Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One: starting August 5 at 12:01 am PT / 3:01 am ET / 8:01 atm BT

Google Stadia: starting August 5 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BT

There is also a sale of Far Cry 5 right now, just like any other free weekends of other titles. The standard edition is currently discounted 80 percent off on most platforms. The gold edition is also up for grabs with big discounts. Better hurry though since it is only for a limited time and on Microsoft Store the page says it will only be for 2 days.
