Game company Ubisoft has officially revealed the release date of Far Cry 6 with new trailers and new details about it.
Players will be taking on the role of Dani Rojas, which can either be a woman or man, and will join the revolution to liberate the people of Yaran from the oppressive rule of dictator Anton Castillo and his young son Diego. The former is played popular actor Giancarlo Esposito while the latter is played by Anthoy Gonzalez known for his film Coco.
As Rojas, players will be using a lot of guerilla tactics to try destroy the dictator’s reign of terror. They will not have to worry as they will be joined by many rebel allies like Clara Garcia, the leader of the revolutionary group Libertad, and Juan Cortez, an ex-KGB spy and guerilla master. There are also cute companions too like the awesome Guapo, the gold-tooth crocodile and Chorizo, the bravest wiener dog.
Players can either play solo or in two-player co-op in the game with the series’ most varied open world experience yet. It has a dense urban environment, which is a first for the Far Cry franchise. Yara has tons of different cities, towns and jungles to traverse to and to do that, they can either ride a horse, drive a tank, and maybe make their own vehicles.
Rojas can also customize his/her weapons for the perfect situation. Players can make a motorcycle-engine-powered minigun to a homing-missile backpack, and even a CD-Player gun.
There are four editions of the game with three only available for digital and all four for physical versions:

Pre-ordering the game early can net players the pre-order bonus of the Libertad Pack that includes an outfit for Chorizo and the deadly Discos Locos weapon.
Far Cry 6 will officially launch on October 7 for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
