Square Enix recently announced the official Final Fantasy XIV patch 6.1 release date in the recent Letter from the Produce Live LXX.
Director and Producer Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida was the one to reveal the official release date of patch 6.1 for FFXIV. According to the producer, it will be released on April 12, 2022, just a few more days after this recent announcement during the Letter from the Producer Live LXX. It offers a lot of new content like new main scenario quests, characters, and a raid to tackle.
A new trailer for the new patch was also shared during the presentation. The new characters that will be encountered by players during the new update were featured here and also a sneak peek on the upcoming Myths of the Realm raid.
Yoshi-P also shared in a short interview that Myths of the Realm raid will be a whole new story set. It will not be based on any IPs outside of FFXIV unlike Return to Ivlaice and YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse raids series. It will be about mythology and power of the Twelve deities of Eorzea.
Final Fantasy XIV is now available on PC, PS4, and PS5. Patch 6.1 launches on April 12, 2022.
