Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida, Director Hiroshi Takai, and Combat Director Ryota Suzuki have recently revealed some new details about the upcoming game, especially on how long it would take to complete the game.
How Long to Complete Final Fantasy XVI Main Story?
The three executives recently talked with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu to discuss some details. One of those was the hours needed to complete the game’s main story. It was revealed that It take roughly 35 hours to complete it. If players will complete the game with the sidequests, then it will double the amount of hours to complete the game. They also revealed that the game’s story will have 11 hours of cutscenes, which is a lot.
According to Yoshida, it was initially expected that the main story was going to be completed in around 20 hours but during development, this increased.
Pre-Order Bonuses from US Shops
In related news, US gaming retail stores have now revealed its pre-order bonuses of the game. So far, the shops that revealed their bonuses are Best Buy, GameStop, and Target. The DLCs that are coming with the pre-orders were also revealed.
For Best Buy pre-orders, the bonus is a Steelbook case for the game. It features the protagonist Clive Rosfield in monochrome color and a Roman numeral XVI on it.
For GameStop pre-orders, the bonuses will be a set of six The Realms of Valisthea patches. Each of these patches will represent the flag of the nations in the game.
For Target’s pre-orders, it is more of a practical bonus, a $10 gift card for the store.
For the DLCs, players will have the Caith Sith Charm that let Clive earn more gil. The other DLC is Braveheart sword.
Final Fantasy XVI launches on June 22, 2023 exclusively on PS5.
