It’s finally here. Rockstar Games, known for the Grand Theft Auto franchise, has recently announced that early in December 2023, they will unveil the first trailer of its massive franchise’s highly anticipated next installment.
In celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary next month, since it was established in 1998, Rockstar Games will release the first trailer of its next Grand Theft Auto entry.
“Next month marks the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games,” said Sam Houser, the founder of Rockstar Games, in a blog post. “Thanks to the incredible support of our players worldwide, we have had the opportunity to create games we are truly passionate about — without you, none of this would be possible, and we are so grateful to all of you for sharing this journey with us.”
“In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution.
“We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto.”
This is big news, and we all have been waiting for this time to see what’s next for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. For Houser to announce this a month before The Game Awards, it’s obvious enough that the next Grand Theft Auto game will make its premiere during the annual awards ceremony, a fitting venue for a massive announcement like this.
It’s worth noting that Rockstar Games has not confirmed or denied that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto is dubbed as “GTA 6,” so there might be a possibility that the next installment will be a huge spin-off like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Vice City.
