Game company Epic Games has recently announced that Fortnite will be celebrating the life of Martin Luther King Jr. in a new in-game event called March Through Time.
March Through Time is presented by TIME Studios and is a whole new experience that educates players of Fortnite the extraordinary life and legacy of the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This is being developed by the members of the Fortnite Creative Community and lets players experience the immersive event with Dr. King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
Players will be transported back in time in a re-imagined Washington, DC nearly 60 years ago called DC 63. They will experience and witness the Civil Rights teachings of the late Dr. King.
The members of the Fortnite Creative Community who did this event are ChaseJackman, GQUanoe, XWDFr, and YU7A.
Aside from the speech, the Experience will also feature museum-inspired points of interest and quests that players can complete with others. These quests remind them a part of Dr. King’s speech, which is “We move forward when we work together.”
Completing these challenges will unlock a DC 63 spray in the players’ lockers.
Fortnite is now available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
