Nvidia has recently announced that Fortnite is getting DLSS 3 support soon.
Nvidia confirmed recently during its Gamescom 2023 announcements that Epic Games’ popular free-to-play battle royale video game Fortnite will be getting the third generation of DLSS support.
Way back in 2020, Nvidia added DLSS 2 support for Fortnite, which means this is not the first time that Nvidia rolled out its DLSS tech onto the game. This time around, it will be the third generation of the tech.
DLSS 3 support was released together with the latest GeForce RTX 4090 and 4080 graphics last year. It increased frame rates for supported games by up to four times compared to what was previously available on DLSS 2. To gain access to DLSS 3, however, PC players will need to get the RTX 40 series graphics cards since it is exclusive to it. RTX 30 and below card owners will not be able to play Fortnite on DLSS 3 unfortunately.
No word yet when the DLSS 3 support for Fortnite will be rolled out. Other games that have been confirmed for DLSS 3 support are Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, PayDay 3, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and Alan Wake 2.
