Fortnite to Refund Wild Lobby Track After Mistakenly Made Available in Item Shop

After Epic Games mistakenly put up a certain soundtrack of Fortnite in the Item Shop, it will now be refunded.

A spokesperson recently shared the news with media outlet Eurogamer that the purchases of the Wild Lobby Track will be refunded. It will be returned in the form of V-Bucks that the players spent in the game. The item was not supposed to be included in the item shop and was supposed to be a Battle Pass Reward.

The Item Shop version of the Wild Lobby Track will be removed from Lockers. (The Battle Pass Reward version will remain for players who unlocked it.)

After it was found out that it was mistakenly put in the Item Shop, Epic Games promptly removed it right away and apologized on the game’s official Twitter account. They assured that the Battle Pass Reward version will remain for players who have unlocked it already, so do not worry.

Epic Games did not share why the accident happened, but some fans speculate that it was originally intended as a shop item only to be swapped into the battle pass at the last moment.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS.
