Forza Horizon 5 All Convertible Cars – How They Work

If you’re looking to put down the roof of your car and feel the wind in Forza Horizon 5, you can do so thanks to the game’s introduction of convertible cars.

While there aren’t that many of them, they’re still pretty impressive when you press a button and watch it transform. Here is a list of Forza Horizon 5’s convertible cars, their unlock requirements, and costs.

Forza Horizon 5 All Convertible Cars List

There are currently four convertible cars in Forza Horizon 5:

  • Ferrari Portofino 2018
  • Mercedes AMG One
  • Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster 2009
  • McLaren Z20S Spider 2019

There are convertibles besides the ones in this list such as the Honda S2000 and the Mazda MX5’13 that aren’t included on this list. This is because Playground Games have confirmed they aren’t yet working in free roam. Once they are, we’ll be sure to update them.

Of course getting these cars aren’t easy to get. They can be bought at the auto shop for quite a hefty price. The Autoshow is where you can buy cars in Forza Horizon 5.

The Autoshow is at the Horizon Festival Mexico home site, so go there first. After entering the Horizon Festival Garage, select ‘Autoshow’ from the Buy & Sell menu. There you can find all the cars that can be bought with CR for a fixed price. Select LB/RB or use the left stick to scroll through the brands and cars.

How Convertibles Work in Forza Horizon 5

How do you put the convertible top down in Forza Horizon 5?

To have the top down or to put it back up on a convertible in Forza Horizon 5, one just has to simply press L3 or the left analog stick on your controller or press G on your keyboard for PC. But this will only work if you are not driving or while the car is moving.

Once the animation begins, you also could not do anything or move until the sequence to put the top down or back up, is done.

If you drive on a convertible with your top down, you can hear the wind blowing against your ears when you drive. This experience is very immersive and a lot of players are glad that this feature was added on Forza Horizon 5.

However, it should be up to the player’s preference to drive a car with the top down during a race as it can be very distracting for some. It doesn’t really specify whether having the top down can affect you aerodynamically in the game (realistically it should) and whether it will affect the outcome of any race. But we will test this out further and we will update the article if more information will be available.
