With the imminent release of update 2.6, it is time for some information dump on the next one as well, Genshin Impact 2.7. Here is the possible release date, banners, events, leaks, and more.
Genshin Impact 2.7 Release Date
From what we know so far, Genshin Impact 2.7 will be released this coming May 11, 2022. If we follow the schedules of previous updates, it will be released on that date just a day after the phase 2 banner of Version 2.6 will end, which will feature Kamisato Ayaka. It is now 42 days before the next update gets released.
Genshin Impact 2.7 Character Banners
Two new characters will be featured in the upcoming banners. These are Yelan, the 5-star Hydro bow user, and Kuki Shinobu, the 4-star Electro one-hand sword kunoichi. Based on the newest banner system, Hoyoverse is planning to put these characters in two different character banners in update 2.7.
Possible Character Rerun Banners
There are three possible 5-star characters that will have rerun banners in the upcoming update 2.7 if we base them with the previous ones. It is highly likely that Kazuha and Klee will be making a comeback since their last banners were way back in version 1.6. Yoimiya is also a possibility since she got released in Version 2.0.
The Chasm Gets New Areas
In update 2.6, The Chasm gets introduced, but that will only be just the beginning. More areas in new region will be added just like how Inazuma got new areas too starting from the main island down to the new ones.
New Fatui Harbinger Incoming?!
According to some data miners posting in a forum, there will be a new Fatui Harbinger when update 2.7 arrives. They also expect another type of boss to fight aside from this rumored one. No new enemies are being expected though.
Kirin Bow Unleashed
A new bow will be introduced in update 2.7 and that will be the Kirin Bow. It will be Yelan’s bow of choice in battle and will be in the weapon banner. A new Free Weapon is also expected to be given away as part of the main event. It is possible it will be Kuki Shinobu’s sword that will be given away.
New Events Come Back to Mondstadt
According to rumors, there will be an event set in Mondstadt again. It is highly possible it would happen since there has not been any event held in Mondstadt for a while now.
