HoYoVerse’s most popular video game Genshin Impact has now reached a new milestone in revenue on mobile alone.
According to website SensorTower, Genshin Impact has recently generated $3.7 billion from player spending worldwide across the App store and Google Play. This is only on mobile platforms and in the span of two years, which means since its big launch on September 28, 2022.
The game is currently celebrating its second anniversary this week and this new reveal is a cause for celebration. It now ranks number 3 in revenue generation for mobile on a global scale since its launch. Before Genshin Impact is PUBG Mobile with $4.9 billion in revenue and Honor of Kings with $5.5 billion in revenue. Outside of China, Genshin Impact ranks number 2 while Candy Crush Saga is at number 3 while Roblox is at the top 1 spot.
Sensor Tower also revealed that Genshin Impact is currently the number 1 revenue-generating mobile title worldwide that uses gacha monetization since its launch two years ago.
If the sales numbers on PC and PlayStation consoles were to be added, it would show an astronomical number. HoYoVerse has not shared any details about its sales aside from mobile.
Genshin Impact is now available on PC, mobile devices, PS4, and PS5.
