Genshin Impact announces new character outfits just in time for Version 2.4 Update – Fleeting Colors in Flight.
What are Character Outfits in Genshin Impact?
A character’s outfit, also known as a costume or skin, is a way to personalize the character. You can access character outfits in the Dressing Room, where you can also get a sneak peek at what your favorite character will look like. Outfits are basically cosmetics customizations and are purely aesthetic and has no impact on the gameplay for the playable characters.
Today, miHoYo announced that they will release 4 additional Alternate Outfits, which are partial redesigns of the default outfits of the following characters:
- Jean – “Dandelion Knight” (Anemo)
- Amber – “Gliding Champion” Amber (Pyro)
- Rosaria – “Thorny Benevolence” (Cryo)
- Mona – “Astral Reflection” (Hydro)
What are Alternate Outfits in Genshin Impact?
There is a Character Outfit Shop and Events that offer additional outfits for some characters, and these are called Alternate Outfits. Purchasing an Alternative Outfit includes new set of Voice-Overs, and is available when the character is included in the party.
Even though every character comes equipped with a default look, additional outfits for specific characters can be purchased. Even if the player doesn’t own the character yet, the player can already purchase the skin ahead of time.
Previous Alternate/Alternative Outfits
Previous Alternate/Alternative Outfits made available to players during Genshin Impact version 1.6 were Summer Outfits for:
Jean – Sea Breeze Dandelion
Barbara – Summertime Sparkle
It’s already known that new Alternate Character Skins will be available on Genshin Impact Update Version 2.4 for Keqing – Opulent Splendor, and Ningguang – Orchid’s Evening Gown.
Ningguang’s Orchid’s Evening Gown is a reward for participating in the event Fleeting Colors in Flight. Then it will be available for purchase from the Character Outfit Shop for ×1680 Genesis Crystals on Version 2.5 and beyond.
Keqing’s Opulent Splendor is available for a limited-time only, at a discounted price of ×1350 Genesis Crystals during Version 2.4. Afterwards, it will cost ×1680 Genesis Crystals in the Ningguang’s Orchid’s Evening Gown is a reward for participating in the event Fleeting Colors in Flight. Then it will be available for purchase from the Character Outfit Shop.
When will these new character outfits be available?
The character outfit redesigns are expected to be available anytime during the Genshin Impact 2.4 update which goes live today January 5, 2022 to February 15, 2022.
