Ghost of Tsushima Film Adaptation Gets Its Screenplay Writer Takashi Doscher

The ghost is getting a film adaptation!

In a recent report from media outlet Deadline, Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions have found the screenplay writer for the film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima.

The new screenplay writer for the upcoming film adaptation of the popular video game Ghost of Tsushima is Takashi Doscher. He will be joining the rest of the guys that will be behind this upcoming movie based on the game that has already reached the milestone of selling more than 8 million copies since its launch in July 2022. The film is still in early development.

The game was developed by Sucker Punch and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It follows the story of Jin Sakai who is looking for revenge and regaining honor after the invasion of the Mongolians. However, he must choose between following the traditions of the samurai or follow a route where he must throw away those ideals and become the ghost of Tsushima.

The one to direct this film adaptation is Chad Stahelski. Peter Kang will be the one to oversee the project. Stahelski, Alex Young and Jason Spitz are the ones producing via the company 87Eleven Entertainment. Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan will produce on behalf of PlayStation Productions.
