Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the developer teams of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Worldwide Studios have announced the new official launch dates for The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.
Ghost of Tsushima, The Last of Us Part 2 still coming this year
Sony has announced that despite the pandemic, Naughty Dog has delivered good progress for The Last of Us Part 2. The company is proud to announce that it will now launch this coming June 19. The delay was not that long after all.
For the next most anticipated game, Sucker Punch has also delivered. Their game will now launch on July 17.
Head of Worldwide Studios Hermen Hulst has this message for both studios:
I want to personally congratulate and thank both the teams at Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch Productions on their achievements, as we know it’s not an easy feat to reach the finish line under these circumstances. Both teams have worked hard to deliver world-class experiences, and we can’t wait to see what you think of them when they release in just a few short months.
And finally, I want to thank the PlayStation Community for their continuous support and patience.
Both games will launch exclusively on PlayStation 4.
