Game publisher Bandai Namco recently released a video that showed the opening movie of upcoming God Eater: Resonant Ops. It showed the introduction of the main protagonist and his friends.

The opening movie for the upcoming smartphone RPG focused on the main character and the supporting cast. The game will be set in AD 2078, which is four years after the events of its prequel: God Eater 2: Rage Burst.
Players will find that humanity is still in the brink of extinction and it is going along the path of decline. The higher ups of Fenrir devise a large-scale strategy in order to survive in this post-apocalyptic land. Players will have missions in restricted areas together with their allies, as a rookie God Eater.
The smartphone RPG will be coming to iOS and Android this spring in Japan. It will be a free-to-play game with item-based micro-transactions.
