Santa Monica Studios has recently announced that God of War Ragnarök has now reached a new big milestone in PlayStation history.
It was revealed that the newest title of the God of War series has now become the fastest-selling first party launch game in PlayStation history. It has now surpassed other first-party launch games in PlayStation like God of War 2018, Horizon Forbidden West, Horizon Zero Dawn, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and other popular PlayStation titles.
The online Twitter post on the official account of PlayStation has revealed that God of War Ragnarök has sold over 5.1 million copies worldwide through as of its debut week. This will obviously increase as the days go by and it would not be a surprise if it will go beyond this current record.
It was also revealed that it God of War Ragnarök is a brand-new record for the God of War franchise.
God of War Ragnarök is now available on PS4 and PS5.
