Santa Monica Studio has officially confirmed God of War Ragnarök New Game Plus mode.
God of War Ragnarök New Game Plus Prospects
Many fans have been waiting for this news to drop since the original game offered this mode as well. It took a while to implement, but it made replaying the game better when it got released. Now, this game mode will be coming to the sequel which has a lot more content to tackle, and maybe they can finally play the game at higher difficulties.
All Official, All Real
God of War Ragnarök New Game Plus mode is finally coming and will be released sometime in Spring 2023, Santa Monica Studio announced. While the studio cannot share details about this new mode, it can be assumed that it will have the same features that God of War 2018 had. Expect the New Game Plus to let players carry over earned equipment and abilities.
Possible Similarities with 2018
In God of War 2018, the New Game Plus mode added new armor sets for Kratos and Atreus and the ability to transform talismans into enchantments. The attack patterns for Valkyries changed too and there were Timed Realm Tears. God of War Ragnarök might have similar features too with the addition of new armor sets for Freya, instead of Valkyries it will be Berserkers, and possibly Timed Realm Tears too.
Players who still have their copies of the game will have their patience rewarded with this God of War Ragnarök New Game Plus mode.
