Santa Monica Studio has finally made it official: God of War Ragnarök release date and details on special editions.
God of War Ragnarök Release Date Now Official
The studio has now confirmed the official release date of upcoming video game sequel God of War Ragnarök, which is November 9, 2022 for PS4 and PS5. To celebrate the announcement, a new trailer was released, the Father and Son CG trailer. This trailer gives a glimpse of what Kratos and Atreus will be facing in this upcoming sequel as Ragnarök approaches.
God of War Ragnarök Special Editions Revealed
Aside from the release date, Santa Monica Studio has now revealed the two special editions of the game, which are the God of War Ragnarök Collector’s and Jötnar Editions. Also, Ryan Hurst, the motion capture and voice actor of Thor, and Santa Monica Studio Art Director Rafael Grassetti have unboxed the two special editions with a new video.

God of War Ragnarök – Collector’s Edition
The God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Edition will be housed in a beautiful box representing the Knowledge Keeper’s Shrine. This is the shrine was of the triptychs that Kratos and Atreus happened to encounter in God of War. It tells the tale of a powerful seer, the Giant Sorceress Gróa. She was the one who had the first vision of Ragnarök.
The Collector’s Edition includes the following goodies:
