A new post from one of the developers of Sony Santa Monica Studios has reaffirmed the God of War Ragnarok release date.

According to Sony Santa Monica Studios Animation Director Bruno Velazquez in his recent tweet on his personal account, he reconfirmed that God of War Ragnarok is still coming out this year. He did not offer any explanation as to why it is still going to launch later this year, but it seems he is quite confident of his answer. Other commenters were quite doubtful of his response though, asking for sources and other proof of his statement, but there were no replies from him.

    Ragnorok is coming this year.

Game Director Cory Barlog did share an update a few days ago during the anniversary of God of War 2018. He explained that there is still a lot going on in development and they are not ready yet to share any other details as they are concentrating on completing their tasks. He is asking for the patience of their fans and assures everyone that if they finally have their project ready, they are willing to share everything to the gaming community.

4 years ago, God of War (2018) released! We’re grateful to all of you who joined Kratos and Atreus on their journey, and we’re so proud of the team who worked to bring it to life.
