Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Update Adds Six Cars and Sportsland Sugo, Reveals Limited Edition DualSense

Gran Turismo 7’s free Spec IV Update (Part 1) is now available, introducing six new vehicles, the Sportsland Sugo circuit, additional racing events, and new gameplay features. Sony has also unveiled a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller celebrating 30 years of Gran Turismo.

The latest update expands the driving simulator’s car collection and track selection while adding new activities for players interested in racing, photography, and vehicle customization.

Meanwhile, the commemorative controller will launch in December, with pre-orders opening later this month.

Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Adds Six New Cars

The Spec IV Part 1 update introduces six vehicles, ranging from an electric hypercar concept to classic sports cars and a family minivan.

    The new additions are:

    • Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo — Available through Brand Central
    • Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94 — Available through Used Cars
    • Honda Civic Si Group A Version ’87 — Available through Legend Cars
    • Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo ’26 — Available through Brand Central
    • Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ’23 — Available through Brand Central
    • Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston ’86 — Available through Used Cars

One of the highlights is the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, an electric hypercar concept designed around aerodynamic efficiency. Its teardrop-shaped cockpit, sculpted bodywork, and distinctive halo-shaped taillight are intended to balance low drag with high downforce.

The update also brings back the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta, a 1990s sports car known for its Pininfarina design, alongside the Honda Civic Si Group A, inspired by the Mugen Motul Civic that competed in the 1987 All-Japan Touring Car Championship.

For racing enthusiasts, the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo ’26 offers an evolved version of Mazda’s rotary-powered GT3 concept.

Rounding out the lineup are two unconventional additions: the Honda Step WGN minivan and the classic Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston.

All six vehicles require in-game credits, earned through gameplay or purchased, to acquire.

Sportsland Sugo and New Events Arrive

Beyond the new cars, Spec IV introduces Sportsland Sugo, the Japanese racing circuit known for its technical corners and elevation changes.

Players can test their vehicles on the new track or participate in six additional World Circuit events.

The update also introduces new Car Viewer features, an Experience mode, and additional Scapes locations for automotive photography.

Sony says these additions are designed to give players more ways to enjoy Gran Turismo 7 beyond traditional competitive racing.

Spec IV is being released in multiple parts, with further details available through the official Gran Turismo website.

Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense Revealed

To celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary, Sony has revealed the DualSense Wireless Controller – Gran Turismo Limited Edition.

The controller features motorsport-inspired racing stripes and graphics, along with a textured, carbon-fibre-style front plate.

According to Polyphony Digital CEO and Gran Turismo producer Kazunori Yamauchi, the design commemorates the franchise’s history and its community.

“Thirty years ago, Gran Turismo began with a vision to share the beauty and joy of the automobile,” Yamauchi said.

The controller will be available in limited quantities worldwide.

    Its recommended retail prices are:

    • US: $84.99
    • Europe: €84.99
    • UK: £74.99
    • Japan: ¥12,480, including tax

Regional pricing and retailer prices may vary.

Pre-orders open October 22 at 10 AM local time through participating retailers, with the controller scheduled to launch globally starting December 10, 2026.

The free Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV Part 1 update is available now on PlayStation, although an internet connection is required to download it.
