Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Has Some Cheats Removed

Some of them didn't mesh well with the new game engine.

Some players have noticed that Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has some of its cheats removed.

According to some players and a new report by media outlet USA Today, the game has some of its cheats removed for some reason. Players loved using cheats in the past in order to make it fun or just wanted to move on from a particular mission that they were having trouble with. This made the original games quite fun and added some flair to it despite being called cheats. It was a way of making a dull playthrough a little bit crazier than usual.

There is actually a reason for removing the cheats according to Rockstar Produce Rich Roasado in a statement. They removed a couple of them for technical reason because there were certain things that did not play well in the Unreal base, he revealed. He did say something quite interesting though.

Although Rosado had confirmed that some cheats have been removed, he did not say that they were replaced by something else. “I’m not saying plus or minus, but I’d rather not just go right on the nose before the release of the game and go straight to the end credits,” he said.

Be warned though: using cheats will disable the achievements and trophies for players, but most fans would use these cheats after completing everything.

Grand Theft Auto The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
