Warner Bros Games has recently teased fans that Hogwarts Legacy 2 might be happening in the near future after its successful launch.
Warner Bros. Games. President David Haddad recently spoke in an interview with Variety that the company is discussing a sequel. He has hopes that they could turn this series into a big franchise after the first title launched successfully and continues to gain more success even today.
Even though the game has been in the middle of controversy, Hogwarts Legacy has been a massive success. It broke Twitch viewership numbers and has gotten popular online and in the entertainment industry.
“The player engagement is spectacular,” said Haddad in the interview with Variety. “So far, we have tracked over 152 million hours played, 173 million magical plants grown, 115 million potions brewed and 556 million Dark Wizards defeated.”
“We are very pleased with the initial launch and see a bright future for our other platform launches,” Haddad says.
The company president did not give any sales figures for the game, but it was revealed that the first-week digital sales in Europe were up 56 percent compared to Elden Ring.
Hogwarts Legacy is now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One will be on April 4, 2023 while Nintendo Switch on July 25, 2023.
