Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay Showcase Released

More new details about gameplay!

Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have recently released the Hogwarts Legacy Gameplay Showcase video.

The latest video that got shown recently featured the character creator, combat, user interface, and more. It gave fans a good look at what they could expect of Hogwarts Legacy when it launches and the future plans the developers have.

Players will be taking on the role of a fifth-year student that has enrolled at Hogwarts. The video then showed a Hufflepuff room and later on other parts of the castle. This was the tour that the fans were looking forward to.

Aside from the castle tour, the video featured details on various quests, collectibles, and mechanics that are similar to games that have open-world mechanics. In the story, the protagonist is quite behind the students right now so they have to complete various mini-quests in order to catch up. Players can find them in the Wizard’s Field Guide, which will notify them of the elements surrounding combat, quests, collections, and rooms of requirements.

Interestingly, attending classes is just an optional sidequest that players can complete anytime. This will give them chance to advance their spells and also learn more about the teachers they are listening to.

The character creator showed more details this time showing more hairstyles, freckles, and more options to choose from. It was also confirmed that players who want to change their looks in the game, they can do that at any time. They just have to visit the barber shop in Hogsmeade.

The developers acknowledged that they could not include some of the mini-games and other mechanics that Harry Potter fans love like Quidditch and more. They could not include everything, but some of them are there in the narrative but not as a separate thing. Maybe in a future update?
