A new report revealed that Hogwarts Legacy is now the highest-grossing game on PC this first quarter of 2023.
Research firm Newzoo recently revealed in a report that Warner Bros. Games’ popular game Hogwarts Legacy is by far the highest-grossing game on PC in the first quarter. It was also the highest-grossing PlayStation and Xbox game in the US, but in the UK, it was FIFA 23 that took rank 1 and toppled Hogwarts Legacy.
Hogwarts Legacy has sold ever 12 million copies worldwide and garnered $850 million in sales in the first two weeks alone since launch. This makes it the company’s biggest launch in its history. Even though it got multiple delays, it seems it was worth the wait. It will also be released on old-gen consoles tomorrow, May 5, 2023, and on Nintendo Switch on July 25, 2023.
Sons of the Forest and Valorant were also successful titles on PC in the first quarter of 2023. In the US, Sons of the Forest got second place while Valorant got third place, and in the UK the positions are reversed for some reason.
Other titles that joined the top ten list were Dead Space, The Sims 4, League of Legends, Roblox, Modern Warfare 2, and Fortnite.
