Unlocking the Cap of Curing in Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game-changer, it’s a class-specific headgear that can be obtained in Act 1. It’s a gear that can only be used by a Bard character in your party.

In this guide, I will show you exactly how to obtain this invaluable item during Act 1. Join us on this journey to enhance your gameplay with the Cap of Curing in BG3.

What is the Cap of Curing?

In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Cap of Curing is great for Bard characters. It restores 1-6 hit points when Bardic Inspiration is used, providing reliable early-game healing. Equipped in the chest slot, it offers buffs, making it valuable for College of Lore and College of Valor characters. Bardic Inspiration is a bonus action, enabling versatile usage across all classes, companions, and characters without specific prerequisites.

The Cap of Curing in Baldur’s Gate 3 features armor types including a helmet and clothing, with no specific proficiency requirement. It is classified as an uncommon item with a weight of 0.5 kg and a value of 90.

To get the Cap of Curing, you’ll need to venture to the Glided Chest located at coordinates X: 289; Y: 487 within the Emerald Grove during Act 1.

The Cap of Curing’s Menacing Attack ability, called Soothing Songs, allows allies to regain 1d6 hit points when inspired by Bardic Inspiration. Additionally, this item is usable by characters of all classes, companions, and races.

How to get the Cap of Curing

To get the Cap of Curing in Baldur’s Gate 3, you need to progress through the prologue in Act 1 until you reach Emerald Grove, which can be found north from where you started on the beach. Once in the Emerald Grove, make your way to the Druid Grove circle. From there, follow the path to the east, head to the hill where you find a singing tiefling named Alfira.

Just beside Alfira, you’ll discover a securely locked Glided Chest at coordinates X: 289; Y: 487. To obtain the coveted Cap of Curing from the chest, get a character that’s high in dexterity to unlock the chest.

The Cap of Curing is an item that I highly recommend that you get if you have a Bard character in your party.

That’s all you need to know about the Cap of Curing and how to get it in Baldur’s Gate 3. If you’re looking for other Baldur’s Gate 3 guides, here are some that you might be interested in:
