How to unlock Serenitea Pot in Genshin Impact

In most recent and popular gacha games, creating and customizing a base has become one of the staple features that players can enjoy. Genshin Impact has its own system called the Serenitea Pot which allows players to access the Realm Within; a pocket dimension where they can terraform the land, construct their house, and do some interior decorating that suits their needs.

In order to get the magical pot and enjoy its features, players will have to reach at least Adventure Rank 35 and complete Chapter I: Act III: A New Star Approaches before the A Teapot to Call Home: Part I quest becomes available.

How to get the Serenitea Pot?

Talk to Madame Ping (Liyue Harbor, second level)

After learning about your camping lifestyle, Madame Ping offers her skills in making a sub-space creation which is essential to get your own pocket world. You’ll then be introduced to the adeptus Yanfei who brings up the issue of acquiring some Smaragdus Jadeite, an essential material to create the pocket world. Yanfei figures out a way to acquire the said material through the help of a Snezhnayan merchant named Krosl.

Talk to Krosl (Liyue Harbor docks)

Yanfei talks to Krosl about Krosl’s progress on getting the Smaragdus Jadeite, which the latter confirms doing so and he was able to fashion a pair of hairpins from it. However, Krosl rented the hairpins to a lady named Zhiqiao. He then helps by marking the map where Zhiqiao can be found.

    Talk to Zhiqiao (Liyue Harbor)

To find Zhiqiao, climb the red staircase near the Mingxing Jewelry. Cross the bridge towards the other building, and upon approaching Zhiqiao, you’ll trigger a cutscene. Zhiqiao reveals that she lost the hairpins and has decided to talk to Krosl to negotiate the compensation, but not before Yanfei asks Zhiqiao a question, hinting suspicion towards the authenticity of the jade.

    Return to Krosl

You accompany Zhiqiao as she relays the bad news to Krosl. Yanfei asks the merchant once more about the authenticity of the jade inlaid into the hairpins, to which Krosl reiterates that they are genuine. Yanfei then advises Zhiqiao to talk more about the incident first before settling for the compensation.

    Approach the marked table

Yanfei discusses her findings and reveals her suspicion that the Smaragdus Jadeite inlaid into the hairpins may have been fake; a suspicion supported by the fact that the jade contains concentrated elemental energy that would have made humans who touched them very ill, yet Zhiqiao did not feel anything unusual upon touching them. Additionally, Yanfei has also sensed traces of geo energy from Krosl during their recent visit. Yanfei then agrees to help solving the case further, but not after entering into a contract with Zhiqiao.

    Talk to Shitou (Jade Mystery)

Yanfei suggests to visit Shitou at the Jade Mystery to get more evidence. Shitou confirms that Krosl has indeed paid for their services to process the jade. Yanfei then asks permission to inspect the shavings. After interacting with the shavings, Yanfei reveals that they are actually Smaragdus Nehprite Fragments, a different kind of ore containing no elemental energy. You’ll later have to activate your elemental sight to confirm it yourself.

Talk to Shitou once more to obtain The Jade Mystery’s Affidavit regarding the transaction with Krosl. Yanfei then suggests to visit Xingxi in the Mingxing Jewelry to gather more evidence.

    Talk to Xingxi (Mingxing Jewelry)

Same as before, Yanfei asks questions to Xingxi to confirm Krosl’s statements about his claims on the legitimacy of the jade. Xingxi shares that Krosl asked for her services to find a suitable jewelsmith for him then allows you to borrow the Ministry of Civil Affairs’ Affidavit. Yanfei then suggests to visit Dr. Baizhu at the Bubu Pharmacy to get the final evidence that they will need.

Talk to Dr. Baizhu (Bubu Pharmacy)

As a final evidence, Yanfei decides to get Dr. Baizhu statement about the harmful effects of the jade to the human body. Dr. Baizhu then gives the Bubu Pharmacy’s Affidavit.

    Show the evidences to Krosl

Visit Krosl once more and present the evidences to him in this order: first The Jade Mystery’s Affidavit, then the Ministry of Civil Affairs’ Affidavit, and finally the Bubu Pharmacy’s Affidavit. After making Krosl confess, Zhiqiao then asks for the Smaragdus Jadeite instead as a compensation, which she then hands over to Yanfei as a payment for her legal services.

    Return to Madame Ping

After handing over the Smaragdus Jadeite, Madame Ping will give you the Serenitea Pot.

How to use the Serenitea Pot?

To use the Serenitea Pot, simply place it down or interact with it through your inventory and it will allow you to enter and leave your realm. Once established, you may also use the teleport waypoint from inside to leave the realm, or use the sub-space waypoints to enter the realm.

You can then seek the help of the Teapot Spirit Tubby to build and furnish your own home.
