Waddle Dee Cafe is one of the stores that you can unlock in Waddle Dee Town in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. In this cafe, Kirby can order food to-go so that there’s something to munch on during stages when some healing is needed. The cafe also has a mini game that lets Kirby serve food to hungry customers.
In this guide, we will talk about how to unlock the Waddle Dee Cafe, what are the available food on sale, and how the mini game works.
How to Unlock the Waddle Dee Cafe?
You need to rescue 60 Waddle Dees to unlock the Waddle Dee Cafe in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Every stage that you complete will guarantee that you rescue a couple of Waddle Dees, but if you want to unlock the cafe sooner, you will have to find the hidden Waddle Dees in each stage. There are around 3-5 hidden Waddle Dees that you can look for per stage.
What does the Waddle Dee Cafe sell in Kirby and the Forgotten Land?

Waddle Dee Cafe: Help Wanted! Mini Game
The Waddle Dee Cafe: Help Wanted mini game can be played by talking to the Cafe-Manager Waddle Dee outside the shop by the stairs. In this mini game, Kirby will work as a part-time staff of the cafe, serving food to their patrons.
As customers come in and line up at the store, they will show the food that they want, but most of the time they will only show a silhouette of the food that they want or they slowly reveal the picture of the food that they want. Kirby will then have to grab the matching food to the customer before the time runs out.
Every customer has a time bar that goes down the longer they stay at the counter. If Kirby fails to give the correct order before the bar runs out, the game ends. You will then be rewarded with Star Coins based on your score.
Help Wanted! Mini Game Difficulty
The mini game has three difficulty levels, with each level adding more items on the menu and with quicker customer wait times. You will have to play the Easy Gig level first to unlock the other two difficulties.
- Easy Gig – a practice shift with 2 menu items
- Hustle Gig – a busier shift with 3 menu items
- Frenzy Gig – a super-busy shift with 4 menu items
Sometimes, a horde of Waddle Dees will start lining up at the store for the Lunch Rush Time. During this time, the customers at the counter become more impatient as their bar goes down much faster. To compensate for this, the next customer will actually start showing their order, so you will have an idea on which food to pick up next.
Can Help Wanted! be played in Co-op in Kirby and the Forgotten Land?
Yes, you can select to go for a Solo Gig if you want to play alone, or select the Co-op Gig if you want to play with a friend. Your friend will then play as Bandana Waddle Dee during the mini game in Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
