In a recent livestream event hosted by Dengeki Online, the final trailer of Legend of Heroes: Kuro No Kiseki was revealed. The trailer featured characters that will be debuting in the game as well as the gameplay of Legend of Heroes as it has changed from turn based system JRPG into real time action JRPG system.
The gameplay revealed also a new system armament for Van known as the Grendel. In the Grendel state, it becomes a “Grendel battle” that is different from the normal command battle, and you can act twice each turn. By combining basic attacks, dedicated physical attack crafts, magic attack crafts, and increasing the number of actions by activating boost during battle, it is also possible to hit large damage by continuous attacks by making full use of Grendel’s ability.
Depending on the development of the story, it is also possible to fight with a composition of Grendel + party members. Only Grendel has a different command selection method, but even in that state, you can challenge a battle with a strong enemy while benefiting from cooperative attacks and support with friends by the tactical ornament “Xipha”.
Legend of Heroes is set to be released on September 30, 2021 for Playstation 4 in Japan. Pre orders are now avaiable online and those can preorder now will receive special bonuses online for the game’s content.
