Simon Manus, Awakened God is the final boss of Lies of P. As his name implies, this boss has a bit of a god complex, and unfortunately, he’s more than capable of backing it up, at least in a fight. This is a guide that will show you the best way to take down a god and how to beat Simon Manus in Lies of P.
How to Beat Simon Manus, Awakened God in Lies of P
The best strategy to beat Simon Manus, Awakened God is to attack once he’s finished with his melee attacks and be aggressive. Because of his large mace, his attacks can be a bit slow, but it has a wide swing and will leave him open momentarily.
Simon Manus has two phases. First is his Arm of God phase, where he wields a giant mace and swings around with ferocious range. In his second phase, Simon Manus will become the Awakened God, where he’ll grow another arm and gain ranged attacks.
Simon Manus, Arm of God
Fighting Simon Manus, Arm of God is pretty straightforward since he’s pretty much limited to melee attacks. However, these melee attacks from his mace often have a wide area of effect, so keeping your distance is advisable. During this phase, you should also be conservative with your Pulse Cells, as Simon Manus’ second phase is significantly more difficult.
The best way to beat Simon Manus, Arm of God is to wait for his two swings. He’ll first swing with his forearm, followed by a backarm with the mace. There’s a window you can use to attack him before he recovers from the animation. Once you get that opening, be aggressive, as he can stagger with his attacks.
Simon Manus, Arm of God will also have an attack that slams his mace into the ground. Dodge to his back and begin attacking. This is where he’ll be open for a moment as his mace charges up an explosion, which you can easily dodge backwards again.
Keep the attacks coming when he has an opening, and you’ll wither down his health soon enough. After Simon Manus’ health bar becomes empty, you’ll enter a cutscene where Simon Manus will become a pseudo-god.
Simon Manus, Awakened God
As Simon Manus enters his second phase, he becomes the Awakened God. The new arm he gets gives him access to ranged attacks while still keeping the ferocity of his mace for melee attacks. He’ll also start to move around a lot more.
The best time to hit Simon Manus, Awakened God is when he charges forward and swings his mace twice. He’ll leave himself open afterwards for a few moments, allowing you to step in and deal damage. Charged attacks will help you here since they can stagger Simon Manus and open him up to fatal attacks.
The biggest thing you have to watch out for now is his ranged attacks, which you can dodge to the sides to avoid. Watch out for when he swings his blue arm to create a shockwave that carries through the ground.
Occasionally during the fight, Simon Manus will summon a hand from the heavens. Get as far away from the area as possible when it starts to glow blue. This will result in a large explosion that can’t be dodged, and it’ll inflict disruption, which can instantly kill you when it’s full.
Keep up the aggression against Simon Manus, Awakened God and he’ll eventually fall. Just watch out for when his blue arm glows, as that’s an indication he’s cooking up a ranged attack.
