Pixar has released Lightyear Official Trailer 2 today with more preview scenes from the upcoming animated film.
The newest trailer for upcoming animated film Lightyear reveals a little backstory to how Buzz Lightyear gets marooned on a hostile planet together with his commander and their crew. They then plan to find a way back home via space and time and does a test flight together with his robot companion cat Sox. It seemed to work, but now he has travelled to the future and he now meets the granddaughter of his commander and must fight against the Zurg and its army of robots that have taken over the planet.
Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear is voiced by Chris Evans, Commander Alisha Hawthorne is voiced by Uzo Aduba, and Sox is voiced by Peter Sohn. Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi, and Dale Soules voice the Junior Zap Patrol’s Izzy Hawthorne, Mo Morrison, and Darby Steel, respectively. Jamese Brolin voices the enigmatic Zurg. The onboard computer I.V.A.N. is voiced by Mary McDonaled-Lewis, Isiah Whitlock Jr. as Commander Burnside, Efren Ramirez as Airman Diaz, and Keira Hairston as Young Izzy.
Lightyear is directed by Angus MacLane, produced by Galyn Susman, and score composer Michael Giacchino.
