How to Complete the Magic Potion Quest

This objective will be available after you return King Gary back to Bikini Bottom from the Halloween Rock Bottom map and complete the Medieval Sulfur Fields map campaign. If you’ve already done this, follow these steps to complete the quest:

1. Interact with King Gary to start the quest
2. Talk to Twitchy about the Magic Potion
3. Collect Potion Ingredients: 7/7
4. Bring the potion ingredients to Twitchy and collect the Magic Potion
5. Bring the Magic Potion to Gary and collect the Golden Doubloon

Tips: You may quickly travel to any checkpoint on the map by using the fast travel to checkpoints feature. To do this, open your world map and select on the little clams that represent various areas throughout the map.

Step 1: Interact with King Gary to start the quest

interact with King Gary (you should see a bubble with a red flag on top of his head) in front of Mrs. Puff’s boating school. This will trigger a short cutscene and the quest will automatically start afterwards.

Step 2: Talk to Twitchy about the Magic Potion

Head back to the Medieval Sulfur Fields map and fast-travel to the Twitchy’s Cottage checkpoint, then interact with and talk to Twitchy for the Magic Potion.

Step 3: Collect Potion Ingredients: 7/7

Twitchy will then task you to collect 7 potion ingredients to create the magic potion. Each ingredient can be found at different checkpoints in the Medieval Sulfur Fields.

Below is a list of all Potion Ingredient Locations:

Potion Ingredient #1

Go around Twitchy’s pot and head over near the ledge, then glide across into the huge tree log to collect the potion ingredient.

Potion Ingredient #2

Fast-travel to the Garden Maze checkpoint. Head inside the maze entrance, then veer off to your right, and you’ll immediately spot the potion ingredient.

Potion Ingredient #3

Fast-travel to the Castle Courtyard checkpoint. As soon as you load, head over to the blacksmith building just straight ahead, and you’ll spot the potion ingredient by the entrance.

Potion Ingredient #4

From the blacksmith building, turn around and go down the stairs leading to the river. After that, look to your right and destroy the totems to reveal the potion ingredient.

Potion Ingredient #5

Fast-travel to the Meanderson River checkpoint. Once there, go across the river first, past 2 tree logs, and take the path to your left. You’ll eventually reach a small island by the waterfalls where the potion ingredient is situated.

Potion Ingredient #6

Fast-travel to the Bard Audition checkpoint, and you’ll immediately spot the potion ingredient next to a stall in front of you.

Potion Ingredient #7

Fast-travel to the Cake Ballroom checkpoint. After that, instead of heading inside the boss area, take the path to your right and jump across two floating blue totems to collect the potion ingredient next to a green fish.

Step 4: Bring the potion ingredients to Twitchy and collect the Magic Potion

Fast-travel back to the Twitchy’s Cottage checkpoint. Interact with Twitchy once again, and she’ll brew the potion for you. After the short dialogue, collect the magic potion behind the pot.
