Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition Statue Made Fun by the Internet

Many fans of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 are now having fun with a social media post from PlayStation offering buyers its figure.

Fans of Marvel’s Spider-Man series and some media outlets have recently discovered a post by PlayStation showcasing the Collector’s Edition of the upcoming sequel, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Its main feature was the 19-inch statue of Venom, one of the many villains in the game. Describing it this way might not be funny to many fans, it was the caption of PlayStation’s post that made it sound like an innuendo.

This was the caption of PlayStation UK’s post on the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition: “Treat yourself to 19-inches of Venom and more with the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Collector’s Edition. #SpiderMan2PS5” 19-inches of Venom? The community could not contain itself in laughter and quickly made fun of it online.

“Weird choice of words PlayStation,” said one of the commenters. “You mean the figurine, right?” asked another user. “Someone in marketing today is getting a fat bonus check with the most nastiest side eye the department has ever seen,” added another.

Even media outlet IGN was in with the fun. “me on my way to get those 19 inches,” it said with a video of the Bully Maguire Dance scene.

We have to admit, that marketing strategy is totally genius. It got the attention of the whole internet and now the Venom statue is stuck in everyone’s minds. Sony’s getting big profits when this game comes out.

    Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches on October 20, 2023 exclusively on PS5.
