In in Spider-Man 2, there are a total of 14 Marko’s Memories scattered around the city. Something has caused Flint Marko to freak out in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and he is taking his frustrations out on the citizens of New York. The aftermath of the battle resulted in memory crystals spreading across the lower and central parts of the city. They seem to be the key to figuring out why he went on the warpath. The good news is that the crystals are easy enough to locate, even from a distance. Just look for the sandstorms swirling around the vicinity of the crystal.
Marko’s Memories are accessible after starting the ‘Show Me New York‘ main story mission. And each memory crystal you collect will give 400 XP and 5 City Tokens as rewards.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Markoโs Memories Locations
Below is a map of all the locations of Marko’s Memories in Spider-Man 2, along with a detailed guide on how to obtain each crystal.
Acquiring the crystals involves fighting off the sand creatures protecting them. Eventually, local thugs will get roped in, probably curious about the amount of money they may get for pawning the crystal. These crystals are echoes of what went through Marko’s mind prior to the attack. Uncovering the crystals will allow the Spider-Men to piece together this mystery and bring some level of peace to the embattled Sandman.
Marko’s Memory Crystals can be collected in any order and can be found in the following districts listed below:
Financial District Marko’s Memories Locations
There are a total of 4 Marko’s Memories found in the Financial District.
The first Marko’s Memory Crystal can be obtained during the second story mission called One Thing at a Time. Players will eventually encounter the memory while rescuing the trapped civilians in a burning building.
Keep in mind that obtaining “She’s Gone” unlocks all the other Marko’s Memories on the map.
For the second memory, head over to the southernmost part of Financial District, and you’ll find Marko’s Memory: Prying Eyes close by Baywalk Park.
For the third memory, head over to a tall white building in the southeast corner of Financial District, close to the coast, from which sands are constantly pouring. Marko’s Memory: Being Followed is located on the rooftop of that building.
The last Marko’s Memory is located at the southernmost tip of the Financial District. Head to the park area along the coast, and you’ll discover the crystal near a fountain. Marko’s Memory “No One Believes Me” can be found in the center of an alley between three buildings in the northernmost area of Financial Distict.
Williamsburg Marko’s Memories Location
There is only 1 Marko’s Memory found in Williamsburg.
Marko’s Memory in Williamsburg can be found on the rooftop of a building located north of the bridge connecting to Chinatown.
Little Odessa Marko’s Memories Location
There is only 1 Marko’s Memory found in Little Odessa.
Marko’s Memory (Fade to Black) is located in the northwest part of Little Odessa. Head over to the large factory near the bridge, and you’ll find the crystal on the rooftop in between two large smokestacks.
Chinatown Marko’s Memories Locations
There are a total of 2 Marko’s Memories found in Chinatown.
The first Marko’s Memory (Looking for Answers) is located in the southwest part of Chinatown, near the border of the Financial District. Head over to the middle of the alley in between two brick buildings with water tanks on the rooftop, and you’ll find the crystal next to a garbage bin.
The second Marko’s Memory (A Trap) is located near the center of Chinatown, slightly to the north. The crystal can be found on the roof of the building to the left of another building with a billboard.
Greenwich Marko’s Memories Location
There is only 1 Marko’s Memory found in Greenwich.
Marko’s Memory (Face to Face) is located in the western parts of Greenwich. The crystal can be found lying on the ground within a basketball court, surrounded by three brick buildings.
Midtown Marko’s Memories Locations
There are a total of 2 Marko’s Memories found in Midtown.
The first Marko’s Memory (The Beast Inside) is located in the southwest corner of Midtown. The crystal can be found by going through the alley in between a brick building and a white building.
The second Marko’s Memory (A Familiar Feeling) is located on the far east side of Midtown. The crystal can be found on the rooftop of a hexagonal-type building, southeast of Grand Central Station.
Central Park Marko’s Memories Location
There is only 1 Marko’s Memory found in Central Park.
Marko’s Memory (Uninvited Guests) is located southeast of Central Park. The crystal can easily be found lying on the ground by the lake.
Downtown Brooklyn Marko’s Memories Locations
There are 2 Marko’s Memories found in Downtown Brooklyn, the 2nd one being the final memory.
Marko’s Memory (Broken Promise) is located in the middle part of Downtown Brooklyn. The crystal can be found in the alley between two tall buildings that’s close by the park.
After you’ve collected all 13 of Marko’s memories, you will start the ‘Remember’ mission. This will lead you back to the beginning of Sandman’s rampage in Downtown Brooklyn.
When you get back to the location, all you’re going to see is a single large crystal. Approach it as normal and break it up. To your surprise, you will be transported into the fractured mind of Sandman. This is where you will find the final crystal.
Follow Sandman’s echo across the sandy valley. It is best that you can zipline from point to point, but there’s nothing stopping you from following it from the ground. However, you’ll need to web-zip through a hole in the wall at the end of the valley to get to the next area.
On the other side of the wall is a huge crystal being guarded by sand creatures. The idea here is to web-throw boulders using [L1] + [R1] into the crystal to break it open. All the while sand creatures will try to stop you. As far as I know, there’s a small gap between spawns so you can lower their numbers before focusing on the crystal.
Once the crystal breaks, the final piece can be collected.
Back in the real world, Sandman gives you a special request to deliver the completed statue to an address in Queens. Doing so completes the ‘Remember’ mission and the Marko’s Memories substory, along with 2000 XP and 20 City Tokens as rewards.
Additionally, seeing this side story to its completion will unlock the Grains of Sand Silver trophy.
