Insomniac Games has officially announced Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 release date today at the Summer Game Fest 2023.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Release Date
While it is not the big surprise that host Geoff Keighley promised, the reveal is still quite a surprise. It was finally confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 release date is October 20, 2023 exclusively on PS5.
Kraven Artwork
During the short interview with Insomniac, various awesome artworks were shown. There was one focused on Kraven and his henchman hunting down the two Spider-Men. This is where they revealed that New York has expanded with new areas to explore. Players can now explore Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. Each of them has their own stories and missions to experience and they can switch instantaneously.
Venom Artwork
The second artwork to be revealed is the one with Venom. “He” is fighting with the two Spider-Men as well, but it was teased that this will not be Eddie Brock underneath the costume. This will be a unique host in the game and cannot be found in other types of media. They did not clarify how, but it is clear that it is going to be Harry Osborn since he is the one in the ending where he is getting treatment with the symbiote. If not, this is going to be an interesting take.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Standard Price Details
Pre-orders are now available for all editions, which are standard, Deluxe, and Collector’s Edition. Pre-order bonuses include 2 early unlock suits of Arachknight Suit for Peter Parker and Shadow-Spider Suit for Miles Morales. Both have 3 color variants, a web grabber gadget, and 3 skill points. This will be priced at $69.99.
Digital Deluxe Details
The Digital Deluxe Edition will be $79.99 and includes the game, the pre-order bonuses, and well as 10 unique suits (5 for each character), additional Photo Mode frames and stickers, and 2 additional skill points.
Collector’s Edition Details
The Collector’s Edition is priced at $229.99 with the digital game, all the pre-order bonuses, the Steelbook Display Case, and the 19-inch Collector’s Edition statue. To order this, they must pre-order on PlayStation Direct in select markets starting on June 16, 2023 10 AM local time.
