Capcom’s highly anticipated next installment of the Monster Hunter franchise will hold its open beta next week. Monster Hunter Wilds is set to release on February 28, 2024, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Starting from October 31 at 11:00PM ET to November 3 at 9:59PM EDT, an entire weekend, players can participate in a monster-hunting escapade with their friends. It’s worth noting that cross-platform play is available during the beta so you don’t have to worry if your friends are playing on PC and you’re on consoles.
Capcom also announced that PlayStation Plus subscribers will have early access to the open beta from October 28 at 11:00PM ET to October 31 at 9:59PM ET. Capcom also revealed new monsters, fields, and inhabitants of the land in a promotional video:
What to Expect in the Monster Hunter Wilds Beta?
During the open beta, players can experience three content: Character Creation, Story Trial, and the Doshaguma Hunt Quest.
During the Story Experience Quest, players can play through the beginning of the story, which includes cutscenes and the basic tutorial, leading to the hunt for the monster, Chatacabra. After the initial Story Trial, players can then begin the hunt for the Doshaguma monster.
Players can also send an SOS Flare to connect with other players; however, there will be three NPCs to support the player if there aren’t enough players gathered during a session to assist.
Monster Hunter Wilds is launching on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC next year on February 28, 2025.
