Mortal Kombat 1 Adds Previous Character and New Fatality

NetherRealm Studios has added a new Mortal Kombat 1 character from its predecessor, a new fatality, and a face no one knows who it is yet.

Mortal Kombat 1 Roster Grows Ever Larger

Mortal Kombat 1’s playable fighter roster has grown quite large with its Kameo fighters as well. Various old and new fighters have joined the fight with Fire God Liu Kang on the lead. Recently, a new fighter has joined the ranks and it is from a previous game, Mortal Kombat 11.

    Geras Joins the Fight

The trailer features the previous villain Geras, the Guardian of the Hourglass, appearing before Fire God Liu Kang and chatting like old friends. He does warn the god that his restarting history might have consequences he did not foresee. “Your vision of peace may already be compromised.”

    Trailer Shows Everything

The trailer showcases Geras’ moves and his new fatality move which looks quite painful with sand grating away his opponent’s skin. Speaking of fatalities, Liu Kang also got his second fatality and this one is more painful than the first. He creates a black hole that drags his foe inside, bit by bit until nothing is left.

    New Mystery

Lastly, Mortal Kombat Co-Creator Ed Boon teases an image featuring a brand-new character with an unknown background. No one knows who this person is, but many suggest that he is a character that can be created by the player. There is no indication that this is the truth, but it is one of the possibilities.
