Mortal Kombat 12 just got officially confirmed by Warner Bros. Discovery’s fourth quarter 2022 earning’s call and it will be released a lot sooner.
According to Warner Bros. Discovery’s Executive Vice President of Global Investor Strategy Andrew Salabin, NetherRealm’s next entry in the fighting game franchise has been officially confirmed. It is planned for release within this year, 2023. He said that both MK12 and Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League are both set to arrive later this year “with ambitious launch projections.”
While the publisher has now confirmed, the studio behind the popular franchise has not made any statements to confirm or deny the new announcement. It will not be long though if they plan to confirm it after the publisher shared the good news ahead of them. Fans have also long suspected that the next title will be from the Mortal Kombat franchise and not from the other series, Injustice. Mortal Kombat Co-Creator Ed Boon has trolled fans multiple times in the past on social media so after this big announcement, he might change his tune later.
