Servers of MultiVersus are finally fully offline as Warner Bros and developer Play First Games prepare for the game’s relaunch next year.
MultiVersus Servers Finally Goes Offline
Last April 2023, the developers finally pulled the plug on Multiversus from all digital storefronts. It was also announced beforehand in March 2023 that the game was going to be taken offline to make a lot of changes before they could relaunch it next year.
Players were still able to play online until recently, June 25, 2023.
When players boot up the game, they will be met with this message:
“Thank you for your support throughout our Open Beta! The feedback and inspiration has been amazing.
“On June 25, we’ll be closing the MultiVersus Open Beta as we prepare for our launch in early 2024.
“We plan to be back and better than ever with new content, features, modes and more when the game returns next year and will ensure that all of your progress and content will carry over.
“In the meantime, please stay tuned for updates as we work towards the next phase of MultiVersus.”
Limited Access to the Game
After the servers are offline, players can still gain access to the game only to a very limited amount of game modes. They can play local matches and the game’s training room. All locked characters and cosmetics will be full unlocked too. When the game relaunches next year, the characters will be relocked again and the inventories will return to what they were again.
MultiVersus is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
