It was recently revealed in an interview that the next Naughty Dog game will be like a TV show instead of the regular style.
In an interview with the media outlet The New Yorker, The Last of Us Creator Neil Druckmann talked about its upcoming TV series adaptation of its video game The Last of Us. He shared various details of the forthcoming HBO series and what fans could expect when it airs.
Druckmann then dropped a bombshell out of nowhere by the end of the interview. He revealed that he and his team already have plans for their next video game and it seems it will be a whole new IP. He said that this new game will be “structured more like a TV show”, which will be different from any other games Naughty Dog has developed.
What does this entail? It seems Naughty Dog intends to go to another route and “test different waters” to keep content fresh. Expect a whole new IP on the horizon. No word yet on what the genre will be, but it should be an action-adventure.
